6 for Sunday: Six Characters I Admire

Hey there! This week I’m participating in Six for Sunday, a meme hosted by Steph at A Little But a Lot. This week’s topic is: Six Characters Who I’d Like to Be Like.

1. Elizabeth Bennett – Pride and Prejudice

I debated between Elizabeth and Jane Bennett. I love Jane’s kindness and sincerity. She never has a bad word for anyone, and she’s always sees the best in people. I love that about her.

However, Elizabeth is intelligent, outspoken, and challenging. Forward-thinking, Elizabeth Bennett is a woman ahead of her time and a person willing to take risks in order to be happy.

Plus, there’s Darcy!

2. Fayre – A Court of Thorns and Roses

Feyre is one of the fiercest protagonists in recent literature. She sacrifices her life for her family, she does it again for Tamlin, and then again to save everyone.

I think she is selfless, brave, and passionate about her beliefs. Also, she is strong, both physically and mentally. She has so many admirable qualities that I love.

(Just writing this post makes me want to go back and read the series again!)

3. Cinna – The Hunger Games

I know that, if Panem were a real place, I’d be one of the sheep living in the Capitol.

I’d like to think I’d be like Cinna – fighting against injustice in a less obvious way. Smart and understated, Cinna is also kind, caring, strong, and good.

4. Roselynn – Desperate Forest

Roselynn is a kind person who trusts in others, but when her father is murdered, and she is betrayed by her uncle, she flees to her fiancee for help.

While journeying to her fiancees kingdom, Roselynn learns a lot about herself, and she shows how smart, brave, and trustworthy she really is.

Check out my review for this wonderful story here.

5. Hermoine Granger – The Harry Potter Series

I love Hermoine Granger! She is smart, brave, loyal, and independent. She stands up for what is right, even when she is standing alone.

She is also a fierce and patient friend. She always had Harry and Ron’s backs no matter the circumstances. She also left everything she loved, including her family and her education, to help Harry. Talk about a selfless and loving friend!

6. Joan – To Marry a Scottish Laird

Joan travels the Scottish Highlands to fulfill her mother’s dying wish. She knows it is dangerous to traverse the lands alone, but her love for her mother compels her.

She is strong, fierce, and determined. Even when she falls for Cam, the Highlander who saved her, she sticks to her promise to her mother. When weird happenings occur on Cam’s lands, Joan is the one to figure out what’s going on. She’s a smart force to be reckoned with, and I love that!

Those are the six characters that come to mind when I think of people with traits I admire. Of course, there are a zillion more (I’m thinking of you, Molly Weasley, Katniss, Prim, and Azriel) that we’ll have to save for another post!

Who made your list? Comment below! 🙂

    1. Me too! I think I could have done this list solely with Harry Potter characters. My top choices: Tonks, Dumbledore, McGonagall, Mrs. Weasley, Hermoine, and Ginny. 🙂

    1. Thanks so much! Hermoine rocks! It would be neat to see the story from her perspective or to follow her journey after the conclusion of HP. 🙂 She’s such a remarkable character.

  1. I agree so much w everything u said about Feyre!! I feel like she’s one of the female characters in YA I connected w the most and I also have been considering rereading ACOTAR for the longest time 🙃🙃 this is a great list!

  2. Amazing picks! As much as I adore Elizabeth Bennett, my favorite of your picks is Cinna. What a wonderful world we would live in if more people were like Cinna.
