6 For Sunday: Books On Your TBR Forever

Hey there! This week I’m participating in Six for Sunday, a meme hosted by Steph at A Little But a Lot. This week topic is: Books That Have Been On Your TBR Forever.

1. A Discovery of Witches by Deborah Harkness

I love the premise of the story and bought the book shortly after it’s release. However, for some reason, I haven’t picked it up since.

From what I gather, this is a romance between a scholarly witch and a vampire. I mean, if that’s not the perfect romance for me, I don’t know what is!

Recently, I saw the trailer for the television show, and it looks amazing! I don’t want to watch it until I read the trilogy, so I really need to get started!

2. Year One by Nora Roberts

I’ve been a Nora Roberts reader for over twenty years. I have to say, I like her older books a bit better than some of her newer pieces. So, though I’ve had this book on my TBR for a while, I haven’t read it.

I actually put this on hold at the library, and when I finally got it, I never read it.

Someday I’ll start this one. I just think I’ll have to be in the right mood.

3. The Girl They Left Behind by Roxanne Veletzos

I saw this in the stores last year, and it immediately piqued my curiosity. I enjoy historical fiction from this time period, and the cover and title are really interesting.

My son bought me the book for Christmas, and I was so excited to get it. Alas, time went by, life happened, other books came into my radar, and this book fell to the wayside.

I’ll definitely read this book in the near future. I’m about to start The Prisoner’s Wife, so maybe once I finish that one…

4. Passage West by Ruth Ryan Langan

I got this book over a year ago at a used bookstore in town. I’ve enjoyed Langan’s romance novels in the past, and the book was only a dollar! I couldn’t leave it behind.

This is one of those books that I added to my TBR pile and it keeps moving further down because new book commitments take precedence, but I know that some day I will read it. 🙂

5. The Stella And Sol Series by Kimberly Loth

I got this series for free quite some time ago, and I never got around to reading it. I love the covers and the titles, which are what initially intrigued me.

This is a fantasy series, which is one of my favorite genres, and I know I’ll get to it eventually.

So many books, so little time!

6. Kingdom of Ash by Sarah J. Maas

Sarah J. Maas is my Queen! Well, her, Oprah, and Lizzo. They are all phenomenal women.

I am ashamed to admit that I have yet to read this book. I love the Throne of Glass series (I love all of her series!), but it’s been a while since I read the previous books, and I feel like I’m not going to remember enough. I’ve read too many books in between to remember the finer details.

I might need a refresher before I pick up this one.

Well, there you have it. I’ve heard wonderful things about all of these books, and I enjoy most of the authors. I’ve read the entire Throne of Glass series, so I think Kingdom of Ash is my next read. However, A Discovery of Witches looks amazing, so maybe I should start with that. IDK.

Have you read any? Which do you recommend? Comment below!

  1. I also *still* need to read a discovery of witches! I hope you end them reading all at some point!

  2. I ended up rereading the entire ToG series before picking up the final 2 books. It was awesome reading them all back to back, though. One of my sons is now finishing Kingdom of Ash and loving it.
