Six For Sunday: Books on My TBR That I Predict Will Be a 5

Hey there! This week I’m participating in Six for Sunday, a meme hosted by Steph at A Little But a Lot. This week topic is: Books From Your TBR That You Predict Will Be a 5.

For this list, I focused on fantasy novels, as I’m on a huge fantasy/romance kick right now. This was a tough list to narrow down! There are so many books on my TBR that sound fantastic. However, these are the top books that I think will be a 5.

1. Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes by Suzanne Collins

This is the book that I am most excited for right now. Suzanne Collins is an amazing author, and The Hunger Games is my favorite (or second favorite – I can never choose between this and Harry Potter) series EVER!

I am a bit cautious, as this story focuses of the detestable President Snow before he became powerful. However, I’m curious to see what he was like as a younger man and what propelled him into the murderous, sinister tyrant he became.

2. Empire of Dreams by Rae Carson

I’m excited to delve back into Rae Carson’s captivating Fire and Thorns series and takes place around eight years after the conclusion of Bitter Kingdom.

This is a stand-alone novel that takes place in the Fire and Thorns world.

The story includes “a heroine set on destroying the patriarchal limits meant to keep her in her place.” She sounds like my kind of heroine!

3. Crave by Tracy Wolff

I feel like vampires novels are coming back in fashion, and I’m totally in! I recently finished Dark Prince, another vampire romance, and absolutely loved it. I’ll post a review soon.

Crave has received a ton of hype lately, and it intrigued me from the start. I’ve seen ARC reviews on a few blogs, and the story received glowing reviews. Can you really go wrong with hot vampires, dragons, witches, and shifters? Not in my eyes. 🙂

4. The Shadows Between Us by Tricia Levenseller

This is another book that has received a ton of hype. It sounds like the type of book that I generally love. The protagonist has interesting goals:

1) Woo the Shadow King.
2) Marry him.
3) Kill him and take his kingdom for herself.

I’m already hooked!

Many of my blogging friends recommend this story, and it is at the top of my TBR. I’m pretty certain that this will be a favorite of 2020.

5. The Betrothed by Kiera Cass

Kiera Cass exploded onto the book scene with The Selection series. A mash-up of dystopian characteristics and The Bachelor, The Selection series captivated me from the beginning.

I love the author’s writing style and immersive stories, and this story sounds like it has an exciting love triangle.

The Betrothed is the first in her new series, and it comes out May 5, 2020. I bet you can guess what I’ll be doing that day! 🙂

6. Blue Deep by Cece Louise

As you know, I am a huge fan of Cece Louise and The Forest Tales Series. Desperate Forest and The Jabberwocky Princess are fabulous YA fantasy stories. They are stand-alone stories that I highly recommend.

I also had the honor of interviewing Cece Louise last month. Check out the interview here!

Deep Blue sounds like an intriguing addition to The Forest Tales, and I am super excited to receive my ARC of the novel! I’m 100% positive this will rate a 5 in my book!

Check out my reviews for Desperate Forest and The Jabberwocky Princess!

Well, there you have it. Those are the fantasy novels on my TBR that I think will score a 5. Have you read any of these? How would you rank them? Comment below!
