Five Star Book:

Beneath Cruel Fathoms by Anela Deen

The first book in The Bitter Sea series, this was my favorite read of the month, and I can’t stop talking about it. The vivid world, the characters, the beautiful love story – I just adored it all!

If you enjoy immersive fantasy stories with epic romances, then you should definitely read this.

Always Going to Recommend:

The Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling

I’ve read the Harry Potter series at least a dozen times, and I recommend and talk about it often. Not often, Always.

Fun Facts: I’m a Hufflepuff, my patronus is an Ewok, and my wand is made of fir with a dragon heartstring core.

Own It But Haven’t Read It:

Crown of Feathers by Nicki Pau Preto

I’ve read so many glowing reviews about this book, so when I saw it at Book Outlet, I snagged it. I really need to read it soon! The cover is captivating, and I believe the second book, Heart of Flames, is out too!

Would Read Again:

The Jabberwocky Princess by Cece Louise

Cece Louise’s books are delightful YA fantasies! I read this book in one sitting and then bought the first book in the series. Her third book in The Forest Tales Series, Blue Deep, is coming out soon, and I can’t wait!

Check out my review of The Jabberwocky Princess and my review of Desperate Forest!

In Another World:

Cinderella is Dead by Kalynn Bayron

This book!! I can’t rave about it enough! What a fascinating re-imagining of the Cinderella story! If you like dystopian fantasy with feminist themes and a fabulous protagonist, then you should definitely pick up this book!

Back On Earth:

The Dark Awakening by D.L. Blade

This is such an interesting YA urban fantasy. Much of it actually takes place in my home state, which is pretty cool. In my recent interview with the author, she talked about a fascinating dream that led to the creation of this series. Read more about it here!
