Six for Sunday: Favorite SFF Series

Hey there! This week I’m participating in Six for Sunday, a meme hosted by Steph at A Little But a Lot. This week’s prompt is:

Favorite Series

I’m going to focus on my favorite SFF series, as I find it easier to narrow down if I only focus on one or two genres. Let’s check it out!

1. Harry Potter by J.K. Rowling

I’m getting the obvious one out of the way. I adore Harry Potter, and just so you know, I am a Hufflepuff, my Patronus is an Ewok, and I own several wands. I will always be a HP fan…Always

2. Fever by Karen Marie Moning

Moning’s Fever series is fan-tabulous! A spicy romance, a ton of action, paranormal/fantastical elements – it has it all!

3. A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas

Okay, so SJM is my QUEEN (along with Oprah, Lizzo, and whoever invented air conditioners), and Rhysand is my favorite book boyfriend! I absolutely loved this series and fully intend to read it a hundred times (at least)! Intricately woven and beautifully developed, this series is definitely an all-time favorite.

4. Razorland by Ann Aguirre

The Razorland series is by far my favorite zombie dystopia. It is so different from the other books of it’s kind, but still filled with a ton of action and suspense. The fight scenes are amazing too, and I love Aguirre’s style. Deuce is a fierce protagonist, and I enjoyed her journey.

5. The Elements of Kamdaria by Kay L. Moody

This is a fabulous series that I recently discovered. If you haven’t heard of it, and you like YA fantasy, you should totally check it out! It has a strong female protagonist, cool and unique abilities, and an interesting dystopian society. The Elements of the Crown (shown above) includes the first four books in the series.

6. The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins

I’ve read this series a dozen times and never tire of it. Team Peeta!! I loved the characters, the plot, and the immersive dystopian society. I actually bought 30 copies of this book and Catching Fire and taught it to my high school students. That’s love right there. 🙂
