Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.
I decided to try an old Top 10 Tuesday prompt this week. 🙂
This Week’s Topic is: Top 10 Books/Series I’d Like to See As a Movie
I love this prompt! There are so many books and series that I adore and would love to see turned into movies! As I am currently on a SFF kick, I’m going to focus on this genre. Here are a few that come to mind:
1. Throne of Glass series by Sarah J. Maas
Synopsis: After serving out a year of hard labor in the salt mines of Endovier for her crimes, 18-year-old assassin Celaena Sardothien is dragged before the Crown Prince. Prince Dorian offers her her freedom on one condition: she must act as his champion in a competition to find a new royal assassin.
Her opponents are men-thieves and assassins and warriors from across the empire, each sponsored by a member of the king’s council. If she beats her opponents in a series of eliminations, she’ll serve the kingdom for four years and then be granted her freedom. 2. Beneath Cruel Fathoms by Anela Deen

4. A Court of Thorns and Roses series by Sarah J. Maas

7. Cut Off by Adrianne Finlay

10. Cinderella is Dead by Kalynn Bayron

Excellent choices! YA, fantasy and Science Fiction books do seem to lend themselves to this topic. The majority of the books I read wouldn’t adapt in the same way, but the fantasy/paranormal would make some great films.

Great topic. I always want books I love made into movies, then get scared when I hear they are going to be! Everyone has their own interpretation of beloved books. I like the newer trend of making books into television shows so they aren’t forced to get it all into 2 hours.

Love this topic!! Throne of Glass is becoming a show on Hulu, I think. Who knows when but I’m excited!! I also think the other is a film. I wish they would do all books in a tv-series now. Especially, our fantasies!!
