Thanks so much to Millay at Millay’s Musings for the tag. The original creator of The Unpopular Opinions tag is TheBookArcher. This sounds like a lot of fun! Let’s check out the prompts!
What is a popular book or series you didn’t like?
Gone Girl . I remember so many of my friends raving about the book, but I didn’t enjoy it.
What is a popular book or series that everyone else hates, but you love?

Twilight. This series is bashed so much, but I enjoyed it. Sure, it’s angsty and dramatic, but that’s kind of what I liked? lol
What is a love triangle in a book or series where the main character ended up with the person you did not want them to end up with?
I have been wracking my brain over this prompt and can’t think of one!
What is a popular book genre that you hardly reach for?

Horror – I have a vivid imagination and horror books scare the shit out of me. I’ll have nightmares for weeks after reading a horror story. Thanks, but no.
What is a popular or beloved character that you do not like?
Holden Caulfield, the rambling protagonist of Catcher in the Rye who doesn’t listen to anyone and stresses me out throughout the entire book. I hated reading and teaching this story. Sorry, Holden lovers, he irritated me.
Who is a popular author that you can’t seem to get into?
Steven King and Nicholas Sparks – for very different reasons. Stylistically, I find both tedious. However, King scares me way too much, and Sparks makes me cry way too much! I avoid both authors.
What is a popular book trope that you are tired of seeing?
I’m going to agree with Millay on this one – the love triangle.
What is a popular book or series that you have no interest in reading?

The Fault in Our Stars by John Green
I just know this book will destroy me, so I decided not to read it.
What is a movie or TV show adaption of a book or series that you like more than the book/s?
The Shawshank Redemption- This is based on a Steven King novella entitled “Rita Hayworth and the Shawshank Redemption.” It’s a phenomenal movie and one I’ve watched many times. The story is great, but the movie is better.
This was a lot of fun, and if you enjoyed it, consider yourself tagged! I’d love to read your unpopular opinions! Do you share any of my opinions or do you think I’m mistaken? Comment below! 🙂
We share some of the same opinions, but not all
Great post! I agree with some of these. I’m really not a fan of the love triangle either
I have similar opinions about Horror and TFIOS
Nice post
Thanks! 🙂
OMG YES TO HOLDEN CAUFIELD. GO AWAY, SAD BOY
Hahahahaha
You’re correct about staying away from Fault in Our Stars! I agree with you on everything! Especially the horror books. Yet.. I keep reading them and then can’t sleep. But I feel like someone understands me now!
I totally understand! lol
Great post! I really enjoyed reading your answers to the prompts! Glad you had fun with it! xoxo

Thanks again for the tag!
Sure thing!
The fault in our stars was really sad so if that’s not your jam, stay away!
That’s what I’m thinking. I just know it will devastate me! lol
Then it’s probably best to stay away 🙂
I share ALLLLLL of these opinions, I’m especially sick of love triangles, and I’m WAY too sensitive while reading so this Is extremely relatable 🙂
Yay! I’m not alone! lol

Thanks for stopping by! 🙂
I’m right there with you on the horror genre, it’s a big nope for me! 🙈
Right! I don’t like to be scared. Give me a good HEA romance instead. 🙂
So many of these opinions are the same as mine 😂 I couldn’t stand Gone Girl at all omg how I wanted to throw that book across the room and scream in rage LOL! I also think love triangles just need to be gone. Please! I haven’t read the book for Shawshank but I loved that movie and I think I’ll just stick to watching it vs reading it lol great opinions!
Thanks so much! I felt the same way about Gone Girl. It just irritated me, and I thought it was kind of predictable. Same goes for love triangles. Meh. 🙂 🙂
Great answers! You’re not missing much with fault in our stars. The movie had the emotion that I think the book was missing lol
lol – I think I’ll avoid both.
Congratulations on your tag and remain safe.
Wow this is such a fun tag!
You should do it! I’d love to read your answers! 🙂
Oh I will try and add it to my tag list!
