Lucy’s feelings questions: She went for a deadly sins vibe!

Sloth – What was the last book you read before you hit a reading slump? How did you get out of it?

I haven’t been in a reading slump for a long time, but whenever I hit a slump, I just flit from book to book until something clicks. I can’t remember a day when I didn’t read something. lol

Wrath – Name a book or a character that made you angry/ upset. It can be anything about a book such as a MC dying or an ending etc.

The ending of Allegiant totally ticked me off. I felt like all of the time I invested in the series was wasted. This book, and the ending specifically, was a complete disappointing letdown for me.

Pride – Name a book in your collection that you are proud of and why. Is it a book that makes you feel more accomplished as a reader or a particular edition that is gorgeous!

I have an older copy of Les Miserables that I treasure. It is almost 100 years old and has a beautiful green binding. I also have a version of Pride and Prejudice that I’m pretty proud of. My students had it made for me years ago, and instead of Elizabeth and Darcy, the book is personalized with my name and my husbands! It was such a lovely and thoughtful gift, and I absolutely treasure it!

Lust – What is a book you are desperate to read and why?

I adored A Court of Thorns and Roses and am so excited for the continuation of the series!! A Court of Silver Flames is scheduled for release in February, and I’m thinking I should do a reread of the whole series before the new book comes out. Who’s with me?!? lOl

Beneath Cruel Fathoms is one of my favorite reads of the year, and I’m dying to read Between Savage Tides. The release has been delayed because of Covid, so it wasn’t published in the fall as expected. Fingers crossed the book will be released soon because I need this story in my life ASAP! 🙂

Greed – What is the longest book you have read this year? Did you enjoy it?

I’m pretty sure my longest book was House of Earth and Blood by Sarah J. Maas. This comes in at a whopping 803 pages!! Though not the longest book I’ve ever read, it definitely ranks up at the top. And, like most books by SJM, I loved it! This book literally left me speechless, and I didn’t talk about it for days after I finished it. I think it took me some time to process all the different feelings I had about it. 🙂

Thanks again to Lucy for tagging me! This was a lot of fun, and I always enjoy trying new tags. I nominate anyone who wants to give it a try!

  1. I remember reading Allegiant when it was published. I LOVED the ending bc I don’t see what happens to the main characters very often. Although, now I hate it. haha. It doesn’t really make any sense. lol
