Baby It’s Cold Outside Book Tag

Hey there! Today I’m doing the Baby It’s Cold Outside, which seems fitting considering how chilly it’s getting here. We might even get some snow tomorrow!!

Thanks so much to Whit @ Whit Reads Lit for the tag. Whit is a great blogger and you should totally go over and visit the blog. It’s fantastic! Let’s take a look at the rules and prompts!

Snow Day – What’s your “comfort” book?

Snow Angels – What’s a book that you love so much you would want to be buried with it (a little morbid, but..)?

Les Miserables. Without a doubt this book is the most special to me. It reminds me of my mother, who I love dearly and miss deeply. She introduced me to the story, and we saw the musical together several times.

I’ve read it, taught it, watched the films, seen the musical, named my blog after a song from it (the musical), and had lines from it tattooed on my body, so it doesn’t feel like a stretch to say I’d want to be buried with it. lol

Warm Socks – What’s a book that makes you feel warm inside? (the fluffiest, cutest romance book you’ve ever read?)

Hot Cocoa – What winter-themed novels have you previously read?

Here are some of the winter reads I’ve read in the past few months:

Sledding – What’s a book with the best plot twists? Who’s an author that always keeps you on your toes?

The first book that popped into my head was Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier. I remember being so shocked by several revelations the first time I read this story.

Jodi Picoult is good for a surprising plot twist, and Kristen Brand’s Dark and Otherworldly series is the most recent series that kept me on my toes.

Ugly Sweaters – What’s a book with the ugliest cover?

I used to teach this. Like the story – hate the cover!

Movie Marathon – What’s the last book you binge read?

I loved this series, so when I received an advanced copy of the final book in the trilogy, I stayed up super late and read it all in one sitting. So worth it!!!

Letter to Santa – What’s a book that’s on your wish list this year?

Please, please, please!!! I really want to read this, and if I don’t get it for Christmas, I intend to buy it. 🙂

  1. It took me a bit to come up with an idea for ‘Warm Socks’, since I don’t read that many cozy books… But I think The Long Way to a Small, Angry Planet by Becky Chambers would do the trick.

And I agree about that Gatsby cover. It’s ugly.

  2. I studied Gatsby at university and was so obsessed with this cover, I had to look for it during WEEKS to find an affordable edition with this cover. Now I don’t understand what I ever saw in this weird picture, haha!
