Book Haul: January 2021

Hey there! I hope you had a happy January! Is it me, or did this month fly by? I feel like we were just ringing in the new year, and here we are celebrating February.

I had a pretty successful book blogging month. I posted every day and have a great book haul to show you today!! Let’s take a look at my books, and, if you’re interested in a particular book, just click on it and you’ll be taken to Goodreads.

ARCs/Books from Netgalley & Book Sirens:

I received 18 books from NetGalley and Book Sirens this month! So far, I’ve read 12 of them. Right now I’m switching between historical romance and fantasy, as you can tell. lol

From the Author:

I was lucky enough to receive 8 books from authors this month, and I’ve already read 5 of them! So many great stories!

Giveaways:

I won this book in a giveaway hosted by Laura @ Laura’s Bookish Corner, and I’m so grateful! This is at the top of my TBR, and I can’t wait to read it!! I’m hoping to get to it this week .

Freebies:

I only grabbed three freebies this month. With so many other books on my TBR, three is enough! lol

Purchases:

City of Brass was on sale, so I had to buy it, right? I’ve heard a lot about Big Magic and thought I would give it a try. I’m only about 20 pages in so far, and it’s not wowing me, but we’ll see. And A Vow So Bold and Deadly was a pre-order. I’m excited to read this one!!

Gifts:

I included this again this month because my fan-tabulous husband surprised me with books! And he has such good taste! (Just kidding – he went on my Amazon wish list. Smart man!) I loved A Heart So Fierce and Broken, but I haven’t had a chance to read Circe yet. Hopefully soon!

There you have it! I think that it’s a pretty fantastic haul, and I’m making some good reading progress. Did you have a good haul this month? Did you get/Do you have any of these books? Comment below!

  1. This is a fantastic haul Julie!! I’m just about done with A Vow So Bold and Deadly, and I’m enjoying myself immensely 😍 And I can’t wait to hear what you think of King of Scars, I need to read that book ASAP!!

    Great post ❤️

      1. Ah I have yet to get to Bridgerton 🤔 My journey as historical romance fan has just began but I hope to read Bridgerton series next 🥺

  2. January- I both bought and received gifts

Bought- first two Nevermoor books. I had a Barnes & Noble gift card to finish.

Received- Sherlock Holmes: A Gripping Casebook of Stories

I am trying to read more Greek Mythology- found Circe in the bookstore a few months ago, but didn’t buy it. If I even try to own it, it will be on my kindle

    1. I recently got Circe as a gift. I also want to read A Thousand Ships by Natalie Haynes. It’s about the Trojan War but from the point of view of the women. Sounded interesting..

      1. Haha, same! I’ve managed to stay under 15 but I would like to get them all read by the end of February.

        1. I’m at 13 right now, and I have a few books from authors that I need to read too. It feels like they all get approved at the same time, so I go from having only a few to read to more than a dozen, and then I panic. lol
