Hey there! I hope you are having a wonderful day. I saw this tag over at My Year of Reading Dangerously and thought it sounded fun! There are a lot of books that I wish I had read or still plan to read, and my TBR gets longer every day. But, what can you do? So many books and just not enough time! lol
A Book That a Certain Friend is Always Telling You to Read

I have a friend who raves about this book and series almost every time we get together. It sounds so good, and my friend is not a big reader, so I’m feeling the pressure to share in her love of the series!
A Book That’s Been on Your TBR Forever and Yet You Still Haven’t Read It

A Discovery of Witches sounds so good, and I even bought the book. And the show looks fantastic!!! I definitely want to read this, and I don’t know why I haven’t already! I even bought the book about a year ago, and now it sits on my bookshelf just waiting to be opened. 🙂
A Book in a Series You’ve Started, But Haven’t
Gotten Around to Finishing

I read The Cruel Prince when it first came out an enjoyed it. I’m not sure why I didn’t continue the series, but I need to!! A lot of my reader friends recommend the series, so it’s definitely staying on my TBR.
A Classic You’ve Always Liked the Sound of, But Have Never Actually Read

Anna Karenina sounds like such an amazing and powerful story, but I don’t read many classics anymore. I don’t know that I’ll get around to reading this one anytime soon.
A Popular Book That it Seems Everyone But You Has Read

Has everyone read this but me? It kind of feels that way, though I said this in a recent post and some of my blogging friends said they still have it on their TBR too. So, though I’m not alone, it does sometimes feel like the whole world has read this book.
A Book That Inspired a Film/TV Adaptation That You Really Love, But Just Haven’t Picked Up Yet

I’ve watched all of the Jurassic Park movies dozens of times. However, I’ve never read the book. I’ve actually never read anything by Michael Chrichton. Someday, perhaps…
A Book You See All Over Instagram But Haven’t Picked Up Yet

I’ve read and heard so many wonderful things about Legendborn, but I haven’t read it yet. I definitely plan to read this in 2021!
Thanks so much for stopping by today, and I hope you enjoyed my choices. Which books would you choose for these prompts? Comment below!
Don’t think I an answer some of these: only a few.
Some of these already happened- as in not on my TBR list anymore.
As in a book you mean reading forever that hasn’t been touched- it took me years till I started A Darker Shade of Magic- Park Road Books for sure picked correctly. In some ways, glad I am waited till last year
You are not alone in “A Popular Book That it Seems Everyone But You Has Read”- haven’t read it that book but saw it a lot at bookstores.
I still haven’t read A Darker Shade of Magic. It sounds intriguing!
I recommend the entire series actually- easy read; fast-paced; character-driven; various kinds of magic; lots of plot twists and suspense; the city of London in the 18th century (but parallel)
It sounds so good – I’ll definitely have to check it out.
Thinking of doing the tag despite not being able to answer some
You should! It’s a fun one, and I’d love to see your answers (the ones you can answer)!
Well, if you didn’t mind- I did cheat on some of these
I think I would answer Daisy Jones and the Six for questions 1 and 5. Great answers.
I should have read that one too. lol
I actually think the Jurassic Park book is better than the film. And the sequel is fantastic. Other than that, I find Crichton a bit hit and miss.
Interesting – I’m thinking I should have read it. lol I do love the films, and if the books are even better….
Look forward to your thoughts if you do get to it 🙂 I absolutely loved both the books. And some of ways the film drastically changed certain aspects caught me off guard
Oooh, now I’m curious to see what they changed. Interesting…
Loved your post! This is such a fun tag! I actually didn’t even know Jurassic Park was a book-to-movie adaption until last year, when I saw bunch of people reading it!!!
I also really want to read Anna Karenina, but well… whenever I see the size of that book, I change my mind 🙈🙈🙈
Right! It’s a little intimidating. 🙂
Can definitely say I loved the rest of the books in the FOLK OF THE AIR series and I really enjoyed A DISCOVERY OF WITCHES!
LEGENDBORN is also on my list to read soon after seeing it everywhere!!
I need to read them all!! I need to stop requesting NetGalley books and focus on some of these! lol
Loved your answers, Julie! Haha I haven’t read Cerulean Sea just yet, but I’m going to this month. Scythe has been recommended to me a few times too 😊
Thanks, Stephen! I have to get to Cerulean Sea soon – it sounds amazing, and I’ve heard it’s a really uplifting read. Hope you enjoy it!! I’ll keep an eye out for your review 🙂
I want to read A Discovery of Witches too, and literally the only reason I haven’t is because all the books are over 500 pages and that makes me feel intimidated 😅
I understand that. It’s definitely an investment!!
if I was filling out this book tag right now, I would pretty much have the same answers haha….every single one fits for me.
hahah – I love it!
I really need to pick up A Discovery of Witches and The House in the Cerulean Sea as well!
They both sound so good!! I hope you get to read them and enjoy them! 🙂
I still have yet to pick up The House in the Cerulean Sea as well but its a priority read for this year. You really must finish The Folk of the Air series because it is one of those series that gets better with every book! If you liked the first one you will love the second and third! xx
I definitely plan on reading Cerulean Sea this year too, hopefully after I get through some of my NetGalley reads.
And you convinced me – The folk of the Air is moving higher up on my TBR. I don’t even know why I haven’t finished the series. I own all of the books. lol
You won’t regret it! I binged all three one of the other because I just couldn’t stop reading them 😀
You deffo need to finish the Folk of the Air trilogy! And I’ve seen the show of A Discovery of Witches and I am desperate to read the books!
The more I hear about the Folk of the Air series, the more I want to read it. I think I might reread the first book since I read it so long ago.
Do you love the show ADOW? It looks great, and I love Matthew Goode!!
I love the show so much! And Matthew Goode! Also figured out he went to my university hahah! Yes I recommend TFOTA!!
I’ve been meaning to read ‘The House in the Cerulean Sea’ for some time now. But the hype is stil high, so maybe last quarter of this year? Lol😅
I have to get to it sometime this year too! I’ve heard nothing but wonderful things about it.
Oh I might have to do this tag! I’ve been wanting to read Anna Karenina too as I live the film but the book is so big I don’t know if I can commit to it just yet 😅 nice post!
Thanks! And I hope you do the tag! I’d love to read your answers! 🙂
These are fantastic books and I love this tag! Thank you for sharing! ☺
