Spell the Month in Books: May

Hi there! Happy May! It’s time for another Spell the Month in Books. I first saw this on several blogs, including Carla Loves to ReadBookworm Blogger, and Secret Library Book Blog and thought it looked like fun! It was originally created by Reviews from the Stacks, and the idea is to spell the month using the first letter of book titles.

Because May is only three letters, I’m going to include three books for each letter. I also included links to Goodreads, so if you want to learn more about the book, you just have to click the cover. 🙂

Mockingjay is the third book in one of my favorite series – The Hunger Games. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve read this book. lol Mercurial is a newer read that I really enjoyed. I highly recommend it if you like YA fantasy. And Mum’s the Word is the third book in a rom0com series that’s been on my TBR for almost a year.

I’ve heard so many wonderful things about Amari and the Night Brothers, and I really want to read it. I don’t read a ton of MG novels, but this one sounds so good!! I heard about Ariadne when I was talking to someone about Madeline Miller’s Circe. I immediately put it on my TBR. Hopefully, I’ll get to it soon – It sounds fantastic. I read Archeron years ago and remember it was really long and really good! I would definitely recommend this series to readers of adult paranormal romance.

You’ve Got Plaid is the third book in the Prince Charlie’s Angels series, and is one of my recent reads. This is a great series for readers who enjoy historical romance set in the Highlands. Yellow Brick War is also the third book in a series, and it puts a new, dark twist on the Wizard of Oz. I’ve had You Have a Match on my TBR for a while now, and it sounds so cute. I definitely hope to get to it soon!

Have you read any of these? Which books would be on your list? Comment below!

        1. Thank you! I loved The Song of Achilles and think I compare a lot of the Greek mythology retellings to that one, which is a little unfair. lol

  1. I have read Mockingjay and You Have a Match and enjoyed them both. I also have Amari on my TBR and hope to listen to it or read it in May.

  2. I’ve only read Amari and the Night Brothers (which I absolutely LOVED) and seen the movie Mockingjay (which I did enjoy).

    1. Amari sounds fantastic! I definitely want to read it soon!! And I love The Hunger Games trilogy – I watched the movies this past weekend. 🙂
