Book Haul: January 2022

Happy Thursday and happy February. I don’t know about you, but for me January went by in a flash! My daughter celebrated her birthday, and we had a wicked snowstorm/blizzard right at the end of the month with 23 inches of snow! It was super cold and the perfect time to snuggle up and read, which is exactly what I did! Let’s take a look at the books I hauled. As always, if you are interested i n a book and click on the image, it will take you to Goodreads.

NetGalley:

I’ve read 14 of these books already, but I really need to calm down with NetGalley. I can’t help requesting all these amazing-sounding books, and then they all get approved at the same time, and I’m swamped!! lol

Publisher Bookmail:

Special thanks to Forever Publishing for sending these fantastic reads!! I’ve read three of the four and enjoyed them all!

From the Author:

I read The Starlight Blade and In a Dark, Dark Wood and loved them both!! This week, I hope to read Iron & Fire, which I received in the mail on the last day of January.

Purchases:

I admit, I have no self control, and I bought a bunch of books this month, and I only read one.

How was your haul in January? Did we get any of the same books? Comment below!

  1. I think the only one I bought was Bound by Firelight since I preordered it. I have tried to lessen my spending because my physical tbr has not budged, haha.

    1. I feel this one so much! I see people go on book-buying bans, but I just can’t do that. I feel like that will make me want to buy books more. So rather than go on bans, I just make a more conscious effort to pay attention to how much and how often I’m buying.

      1. Yes! I used to just buy a lot and realized I either ended up not liking the book or never getting around to it. I try to use my library as much as possible and preorder books I have read as an arc or an anticipated read that has a special copy or through an indie store. Otherwise, I wait until a sale, lol.

  2. I love the way you organize your book haul! I have the Jennifer Estep books! I bought them last year or the year before! I think I actually won the third book and bought the first two. It’s been on my tbr list since then!

  3. If I shared my hauls you’d all think I was crazy- I can’t help it, I want all the books! Plus I have a second job working at a bookstore and I get a killer discount so how can I not buy books?? Impossible.
