Michael Crichton is the first one I thought of. He wrote Jurassic Park, Congo, and Timeline to name a few. I;ve never read any of his books, though. I also like Mike Mullins who wrote Ashfall, but he goes by Mike, not Michael.

Stealing the Dragon’s Heart by Kiersten Fay is a fun paranormal/sci-fi romance with a dragon on the cover.

One of my most recent historical novel reads was A Dare to Far by Charlie Lane, and the hero’s name is George. I loved George!!

Name a book written by an author with the surname Smith

It’s a good thing I just read a book Called Falling for the Competition by Jennifer Smith. It was a super cute contemporary ya romance, and the only author with the last name Smith I could think of. Though, is the author of The Vampire Diaries’ last name Smith? I think it might be. .

Name a book set in Australia

Hmmm – this is a tough one! Liv Evans is a favorite Australian author of mine, but the only book I can think of set in Australia is On the Beach by Nevile Shute. I taught this years ago and remember enjoying it. Is The Thorn Birds set in Australia? For some reason, I feel like it is, but I read it over 20 years ago, so I’m not sure.

Name a book with a knife on the cover

This was a recent read that I really enjoyed, and I loved the cover! Saving Vengeance is a prequel to The Forest Tales series by Cece Louise, and I was pretty sure I remembered a weapon was on the cover. lol This is more like a dagger, but it’s a type of knife, so it counts!

Name a book with the word ‘one’ in the title

One Last Stop by Casey McQuiston. This has been on my TBR for a while, and I’m hoping to read it this year for my Beat the Backlist Challenge.

Name a book with a eponymous title

The only reason I know what this word means is because I taught and advanced English class years ago, and it was one of the terms the student’s needed to learn. Good thing we read Rebecca, Jekyll and Hyde, and Macbeth that year! lol They ended up referencing the word a bit, so it always stuck with me.

Eponymous is basically a word to describe something that’s named after a person. So, an eponymous title would be a book title including a person’s name. For this one, I’m going to go with The Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller.
