Synopsis: They’ve driven each other crazy for years, but were they fighting each other—or the chemistry between them?
As the youngest in her loving, overprotective family, Savannah Lowe has always gone with the flow instead of going out on a limb…until now. Her new job running a preschool requires her to be all in. If only the father of one of her students wasn’t her brother’s incredibly infuriating, impossibly attractive best friend. Savannah has no clue what she ever did to make him dislike her, and now they’re stuck spending even more time together planning her brother’s wedding.
Single father Noah Adams has his hands full between his job as a paramedic and caring for his young daughter. The last thing he needs is a complication like Savannah in his life—a girl he remembers being constantly pampered by her family. But the more he gets to know her, the more he sees how kind and compassionate she really is. Now their long-ignored, off-the-charts chemistry has them on a collision course…with each other.

An enemies-to-lovers, brother’s best friend love story, A Wedding on Sunshine Corner follows Savannah and Noah, enemies tasked with organizing a wedding. Recently single, Noah has a young daughter in Savannah’s class. Savannah and Noah have known each other since childhood, as Noah is best friends with Savannah’s older brother. When he asks Noah and Savannah to plan his wedding, they begrudgingly agree to work together. However, the more time they spend together, the more Noah and Savannah realize that their feelings for each other might not be entirely unfriendly.
The characters in the story are relatable and likable, and Savannah and Noah are layered and compelling protagonists. Savannah has low self-esteem and confidence and has never had to stand on her own, which makes her doubt her capabilities. Noah is struggling to find his groove as a single dad with a ton of responsibility. He doesn’t like to feel vulnerable or to depend on anyone. Both grow so much over the course of the story, and they learn as much about themselves as they do each other. I like that both characters have some bold revelations and that they see past the superficial, as well as the walls each has erected. Even though they’ve known each other for most of their lives, they still manage to surprise each other.
Savannah and Noah have a tone of chemistry, and the sexual tension between them is swoon-tastic!! Whether they’re bickering, teasing, or engaged in more passionate pastimes, the sparks always fly when they are near each other. As they plan her brother’s wedding, which is an ironic backdrop to Savanah and Noah’s enemies-to-lovers-romance, they must face all of their tumultuous and conflicting feelings. It leads to some funny and entertaining experiences. They have the best banter, and though their journey is filled with obstacles, I so rooted for them to find a way to get past their conflicts and be together.
Noah’s daughter Rosie is a delightful addition to the story, and I also like many of the other secondary characters. Savannah has a close-knit family, and Noah is very close to his mother and Savannah’s family, and they are all layered and interesting. The dialogue is on point and really captures the love and respect these people have for each other. Though overwhelming at times, they mean well and always have good intentions, and the way they step up for each other is wonderful.
A heartwarming and entertaining story about love, friendship, family, and taking chances, A Wedding on Sunshine Corner is a great contemporary, small town romance. Special thanks to Forever Publishing for gifting me a copy of the book. All thoughts are my own.
