Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.
This week’s topic is:
One Word Reviews for the Last 10 Books I Read
This was a little harder than I expected it to be. It’s difficult to choose just one word to describe a novel!
1. A Little Too Familiar:
SWOON-TASTIC!

3. My Mechanical Romance:
SWEET

5. Elektra:
POWERFUL

7. Flame and Crystal Thorns:
IMMERSIVE

9. Impossible:
POSSIBLE

2. The Sylvan and the Sand:
INTENSE

4. A Remarkable Rogue:
ROMANTIC

6. We Free the Stars:
EPIC

8. Seeds of Sorrow:
UNEXPECTED

10. Maggie Moves On:
ADORE

Great choice of adjectives, Julie.
Thanks so much, Carla!
How cute is the cover for Maggie Moves On? So glad it got a good one-word review, because I really want to read it now!

It’s sooo good! Definitely worth the read if you like contemporary romance!
I’ll definitely have to keep it on my radar!
Have you also read Ariadne, and which one did you like better between Ariadne and Elektra?
I’m also excited to dive into the Sands of Arawiya duology!
Ooooh, it’s fantastic!!! I hope you like it when you get to it!
I’ve read and enjoyed both, but I think I like Elektra a bit more mainly because I’ve always been curious to know more about the women in the story.
I am so excited for Elektra! Especially, with your word review!! Great list. Love swoon-tastic! haha
Haha – thanks! I LOVED Elektra, though I tend to like most retellings like this, especially when they’re from the womens perspectives. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did, Leslie!
I do enjoy these type of retellings too! I’m glad you enjoyed it bc I’m really excited for it!
Swoontastic is the best word! Love that you used Possible for Impossible and I absolutely love that! That was one that I struggled to come up with a word for (and wasn’t too happy with the one I chose but it was the first and only thing that stuck lol) but ‘possible’ fits perfectly. Great one-word reviews, Julei!
Thanks, Dini! This was way tougher than I thought it would be!!
Great one word reviews for these books!
Thanks so much! 🙂
