Stacking the Shelves: July 9, 2022

Stacking The Shelves is a weekly meme hosted by Marlene of Reading Reality. It’s all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, books for review from authors, NetGalley, or publishers,  gifts or books you won. If you click on a cover, it will take you to Goodreads.

Let’s check out some of the AMAZING books I received over the last two weeks!

NetGalley Books:

So far, I’ve only read two of the books I was approved for on NetGalley – Made for the Marquess and Irresistible.

Book Mail:

I received What’s an Earl Gotta Do? from Courtney McCaskill and really enjoyed it. Keep a look out for my review next week. And I received all of the other books from Orbit Books. Special thanks to them! I’m buddy reading Ten Thousand Stitches with Leslie @ Books Are the New Black today!

eBooks From the Author/Blog Tours:

I received the first two books, A Shield of Fate and Ruin & Blood Union, from the authors. Thanks to both of them! A Shield of fate and Ruin is the third book in the Apollo Ascending series, and I’m LOVING it! I haven’t started Blood Union yet, but it sounds like it’s going to be an exciting addition to the series. The last three books I received for upcoming blog tours.

Library:

I picked these up at the library a few days ago. So far, I’ve read Volume 1 and enjoyed it!

There’s my haul for the last couple of weeks. Did you haul any good books? Have you read any of these? Comment below!

  1. I don’t read Regency romances but I do like romantic suspense. I was on the launch teams for THE DEADLY SHALLOWS by Dani Pettrey and CRITICAL ALLIANCE by Elizabeth Goddard. I just finished a book from Revell, THE EXTRAORDINARY DEATHS OF MRS. KIP by Sarah Brunsvold that I will be blogging about on Monday. I’m reading Katherine Center’s new book THE BODYGUARD for Netgalley. All good books except the Kip one was amazing!

  2. I am waiting for a Library book to arrive, and for a certain physical book to be back in stock at my favorite independent bookstore in Charlotte

    1. The Personal Librarian- on hold at Libby
    2. The Island of the Blessed (last time I went to Park Road Books, I wanted to buy the rest of The Sea of Trolls Trilogy, but only had the 2nd book; out of stock of the 3rd one)

  3. Ooh, what a great haul! I read Fence ages ago and I remember loving it and need to catch up on the more recent volumes but it’s such a fun GN! I’m also really excited to read Sangu Mandanna’s book so I’m looking forward to hearing what you think of it! Happy reading 🙂

  4. Wonderful haul, Julie. I love so many of these covers, they call to me, but I must resist. Enjoy all your new books.

  5. I recently read a great review for The Undertaking of Hart and Mercy. I’m looking forward to getting my hands on it. Hope you enjoy it!
