Sundays in Bed With… Ten Thousand Stitches by Olivia Atwater

Happy Sunday! I’m back today with “Sundays in Bed With….” a meme dares to ask what book has been in your bed this morning. Come share what book you’ve spent time curled up reading in bed, or which book you wish you had time to read today!  The meme was originally hosted by Midnight Book Girl.

Today, I’m in bed with:

Ten Thousand Stitches by Olivia Atwater

I’m buddy reading this with Leslie @ Books Are the New Black, though we haven’t gotten overly far yet. We both enjoyed the first book in the series, but this one hasn’t captured my attention as much as Half a Soul did. I have a feeling it will once we get further into the story!

About the Book:

Title: Ten Thousand Stitches

Author: Olivia Atwater

Series: Regency Fairy Tales #2

Page Length: 288

Publication Date: July 19, 2022

Publisher: Orbit books

Synopsis:

Regency housemaid Euphemia Reeves has acquired a faerie godfather. Unfortunately, he has no idea what he’s doing.

Effie has most inconveniently fallen in love with the dashing Mr Benedict Ashbrooke. There’s only one problem; Effie is a housemaid, and a housemaid cannot marry a gentleman. It seems that Effie is out of luck until she stumbles into the faerie realm of Lord Blackthorn, who is only too eager to help Effie win Mr Ashbrooke’s heart. All he asks in return is that Effie sew ten thousand stitches onto his favourite jacket.

Effie has heard rumours about what happens to those who accept help from faeries, but life as a maid at Hartfield is so awful that she is willing to risk even her immortal soul for a chance at something better. Now, she has one hundred days – and ten thousand stitches – to make Mr Ashbrooke fall in love and propose. . . if Lord Blackthorn doesn’t wreck things by accident, that is. For Effie’s greatest obstacle might well prove to be Lord Blackthorn’s overwhelmingly good intentions.

  1. There’s something about this title that I really love. I still have Atwater’s first book to read but I’m looking forward to it since I’ve heard so many great things. I hope you and Leslie both end up loving this one 😍
