Top Ten Tuesday: My 10 Most Recent 5 Star Reads

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.

This week’s topic is Books Set in Places I’d Love to Visit, but I remember doing this one a while back, so I decided to switch up my topic for today. In celebration of my beautifully blooming garden, I’m going to show you my most recent 5 star reads.

  1. I’m glad you liked a lot of the books you read recently! I’ve only partially read The Undertaking of Hart and Mercy which was not my cup of tea, so I DNF. I am about to read Thorn (which as you know is the first of the Dauntless Path series) – do you think I’ll have to read the other books in the series after Thorn, or is Thorn’s story complete and the others have different characters?

    1. Ooooh, I hope you love it! You don’t have to read the others. Thorn can stand on its own. The second and third books focus on a different character, though the main characters from Thorn have minor roles in the books.

  2. I read John Eyre by Mimi Matthews earlier this year, and it was so good. Just added this on to my list along with Moody’s. Great list!

  3. Yay, for Hart and Mercy!!! I loved it so much! I just looked up the Cradit book because it sounds so good and that cover is stunning. I didn’t realize it was in a series but just added it all to my TBR! haha. Great list, Julie!

  4. I need to read more books by Mimi Matthews! I have read one and really enjoyed it.

  5. I really liked A Governess Should Never Deny A Duke as well and I’m so glad that I picked it up. 😍 I really enjoyed the author’s writing! Cradit always has the most gorgeous book covers and I really feel like I should check out one of her books already 😂 I’m also SUPER keen to read Hart and Mercy cos I’ve heard so many good things about that book. So glad to see that it was a 5-star for you! Great list, Julie!
