WHAT WAS THE LAST BOOK YOU READ?

I recently finished reading The Matchmaker and the Cowboy by Robin Bielman. It’s a contemporary romance that releases next month.

DID THIS BOOK MEET YOUR EXPECTATIONS?

Yes, it totally met my expectations. I was really excited to read it because I read the first book in the series, The Wedding Crasher and the Cowboy, and I loved it. This one was charming and fun, and the friends-to-lovers romance is fantastic! I rated it 4 stars and should have a review posted soon.

WILL YOU RECOMMEND THIS BOOK TO OTHERS?

Absolutely! I think romance readers will really enjoy the story. It’s not the first book in the series, but it can easily be read as a standalone.

WHAT IS YOUR CURRENT READ?

I’m currently buddy reading Spells for Forgetting with Leslie from Books are the New Black.

WHY DID YOU PICK THIS BOOK?

I love Adrienne Young’s books, especially Fable and Namesake. So, as soon as I saw this on NetGalley, I requested it. And when Leslie and I realized we both were approved, we decided to buddy read it.

HOW MUCH TIME DO YOU THINK YOU’LL TAKE TO FINISH YOUR CURRENT READ?

I think I’ll finish it in the next day or two. Leslie and I both read pretty fast, so it shouldn’t take us too long to finish it.

WHAT GENRE WOULD YOU LIKE TO READ NEXT?

I’m thinking of reading a historical romance or contemporary romance next. Something light and charming since Spells for Forgetting is a bit dark and heavy. I’m thinking possibly At Home on Marigold Lane by Debbie Mason or The Dukes Rules of Engagement by Jennifer Haymore.

WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE TO PICK: A LONG READ OR A SHORT READ?

I don’t want to read anything super long, but I’m not really picky when it comes to page length. At Home on Marigold Lane is 350 or so pages, and The Dukes Rules of Engagement is 384.

MENTION SOME BOOKS YOU’RE EYEING!

I’m eyeing a few right now. Prince of Song and Sea is a retelling of The Little Mermaid form Eric’s point of view. I definitely need to read it! And Night of the Raven, Dawn of the Dove sounds like a really intriguing YA fantasy. I also want to read Built to Last, and upcoming contemporary romance. All of these are on my TBR.

I’m going to tag a few book blogging friends, but no pressure if it’s not your thing!
