Received an ARC and Not Reviewed It
I’ve done this three times, and all three times I told the authors why I wasn’t reviewing them. Sometimes, I read an ARC and don’t post the review on my blog, but I always post on Goodreads.
Have a less than 60% rating on NetGalley
I think the lowest I’ve ever been is 85%. I try to stay above 90 if I can. Right now, I’m at 95%. 🙂 If I go lower than 85, I stress myself out.
Rated a book on Goodreads and promised a full review was to come on your blog (and never did)

Folded down the page of a book
I do this all the time. I mean, generally I use a bookmark or receipt or something else to mark where I left off, but if nothing’s around, I’ll totally fold the page.
Accidentally spilled on a book
I don’t think I’ve ever done this. Maybe when I was younger? My kids have accidentally spilled on my books though. Grrr.
DNF a book this year
I DNFed a few books this year. I don’t feel as guilty about doing this any more. If it’s not working for me, then I move on.
Bought a book purely because it was pretty with no intention of reading it
I always intend to read the books I buy. lol Do I have a ton of books I’ve bought and still haven’t read? Yup. But I’ve never bought a book because it’s pretty if I didn’t plan on reading it.

I have done this, though not often. Usually, it was when I had to teach something that I’d already read many times. But I have done this with pleasure reads too.

I’ve met my Goodreads goals since I joined Goodreads., though I change the goal every year.
Borrowed a book and not returned it to the library
I always return my books. I’m a total rule follower. lol Once when I was a kid, the librarian said I hadn’t returned a book and told me I had to pay to replace it. I knew I returned it, so I went to the shelves and searched for it. I found it! lol
Broke a book buying ban
Ok, the only reason I’ve never broke a book buying ban is because I very, very rarely put myself on a book buying ban.
Started a review, left it for ages, then forgot what the book was about
Oh mu gosh, I feel so called out! lol I definitely do this!! Sometimes I get on a reading binge, and then I have like 8 to 10 books to review. By then, I’ve forgotten some things and have to go back and refresh my memory. That why I usually annotate when I read.
Wrote in a book you were reading
All the time! lol Though I don’t think this is a bad thing. I did this all through college, when I taught, and I still do it. I highlight my favorite quotes, put notes and questions in the margins, comment on themes, characters, plot, symbols, or anything else that strikes me while reading.
Finished a book and not added it to your Goodreads
I don’t think so. I’m pretty consistent about adding books to Goodreads.
Borrowed a book and not returned it to a friend
I don’t often borrow books from friends, but when I do, Ii make note of it so I can return it to the right person.
Dodged someone asking if they can borrow a book
I love lending books to people! If they show interest, I always share.
Broke the spine of someone else’s book
No. I’m way more careful with other peoples books than I am with my own. I’ve definitely broken the spines of many of my books.
Took the jacket off a book to protect it and ended up making it more damaged
I do generally take the jacket off when reading to protect it. However, I’ve never made it more damaged by doing that.
Sat on a book accidentally
Yup. I definitely have done this more than once. lol I bring a book with me almost everywhere I go, and I have books in almost every room of my house. I’ve left books on my couch or bed and then forgot and accidentally sat on them.

Fun! You almost broke even there. I did this tag last year–this year didn’t see–totally ran out of time. Now have too much to start up the new year to think about it. But it is fun…

I was tied right down the middle 10/10. I don’t feel guilty about DNFs either. I feel like I’m doing an author more justice if I just pass on it if it’s not jiving with me.
