The Fall Book Tag

Fall is in the air in New England, and I’m loving it! It’s much cooler, the leaves are changing colors, and I’m already wearing my comfy sweaters.

Today, to celebrate my love of autumn, I’m doing the Fall Book Tag! I want to thank Millay @ Millay’s Musings for tagging me! Millay has a fabulous blog, and I always look forward to reading her posts.

The tag was originally created by Shanna @ Bionic Book Worm Blog, another fabulous blogger. 🙂

Crisp Fall Air: A book that felt fresh and new

I loved Cinderella is Dead and thought it was such a fresh look at the Cinderella story. I’ve seen and read several retellings, but none were as fresh and new and creative as this one.

Giving the story a dystopian twist was clever and unique. The setting, characters, and plot line are fascinating and immersive, and I was easily caught up in the story. Plus, the messages are fantastic!

Howling Winds: An ending that blew you away

I remember being absolutely stunned the first time I read this book. The last lines of the novel were jaw-dropping, and I couldn’t wait to get my hands on Mockingjay!

The Hunger Games is still one of my favorite YA series, and even though I’ve read it at least a dozen times, the end of Catching Fire still gives me the chills. It’s dark and ominous and so shocking!

Comfy Sweaters: A book that gave you the warm and fuzzies

I recently read The Christmas Swap and totally got the warm and fuzzies! It’s a lovely and heart-warming holiday read, and I loved the three women the story focuses on.

Chloe, Jules, and Lucy have a wonderful and long-lasting friendship, which I adored, and their individual stories are charming, fun, and festive. It was like reading three contemporary, holiday romances in one!

Bright Colors: A book cover with red, orange or yellow

How about one of each? lol Three great covers and awesome reads!

Leaf Fight: A book with non-stop action

Heir of Ashes is one of the most action-packed books I’ve ever read. There is literally non-stop action from page one!

Roxanne, the protagonist, is being hunted by people who want to exploit her supernatural abilities, and she can never let her guard down. Luckily, she’s a total bad@%s and has some help because her pursuers are relentless!

Pumpkin Spice: Your most anticipated reads

I cant wait to read The Cruelest Curse!! It’s the third book in The Dark and Otherworldly series, and it’s scheduled for publication later this month. I’m not sure I can wait that long to find out what happens to Leigh and Dredarion. I have a feeling it’s going to be epic!

Namesake is the second book in the Fable duology, and I ADORED Fable!! I have an ARC of Namesake and plan to read it this week! And can I mention the cover?!? It’s as gorgeous as the Fable cover!

I tag:

Anyone who wants to do this tag! It’s a ton of fun, and I’d love to see your answers!
