Another Book, Another Destiny…
I went into this book thinking it would be a quick contemporary romance, but it ended up being so much more than that. I was deeply moved by both Julia and Damion's stories and the person who connected them. The story starts as Julia and her family inherit millions of dollars and a house in … Continue reading Book Review: Trust Fall by Lynn Painter
This was such a fantastic read and a brilliant start to Raven Kennedy's new duology. I would never put the story of the Pied Piper and a romantasy together, but I never imagined a Midas romantasy either, and the Plated Prisoner series is one of my all-time faves, so, I never should have doubted that … Continue reading Book Review: The Sweetest Fiend by Raven Kennedy
Prey for Me was a fast-paced, kink-positive contemporary romance with major black cat - golden retriever vibes. Overall, I enjoyed it. However, for me, there was too much religious content, which I didn't expect based on the blurb. I don't like books with heavy religious tones or plots, so that part of the story didn't … Continue reading Book Review: Prey for Me by Allie Oleander
Sold to the Dark Vampire Prince is such an immersive and swoon-worthy start to Kat Kinney's Immortal Royals series. I’ve read several of Kinney’s series now, and they're always so entertaining! This one pulled me in with its unique supernatural world, great characters, and a fantastic romance. The world is immersive from the start. A … Continue reading Book Review: Sold to the Dark Vampire Prince by Kat Kinney
The Heart Trials was not quite what I expected going in, but I really enjoyed it. I went in expecting something a little more fun and competition-focused, but this was much darker and more brutal than I anticipated. It definitely has Hunger Games vibes, but with the added twist of a Love Island-style competition where … Continue reading Book Review: The Heart Trials by J. Elle
LINKS: Goodreads | Amazon | Barnes & Noble | Indie Bound Mirrorwoven is an entertaining YA fantasy, and I enjoyed the unique premise, the atmospheric setting, and the mirror magic. The setting was so vivid, from the canals, markets, boats, to all of the little details of the city. It made it so easy to … Continue reading Book Review: Mirrorwoven by Bori Cser
I Hope This Email Finds You in Hell is a paranormal romance with a unique premise, and it was such an entertaining read. I loved the characters, the unique road trip, the fast-paced plot, and the love story. The story begins as Brie, who has a very normal job at a very normal office, walks … Continue reading Book Review: I Hope This Email Finds You in Hell by Mackenzie Reed
"We write our own narrative. The past is only a backstory, unless you allow it to wield the quill.” From the minute I saw this gorgeous cover and read the title, I was intrigued. And when I read the blurb, I knew that I was going to love it. I wasn't disappointed! Immortal Rose is … Continue reading Book Review: Immortal Rose by Alexandra Bracken
