Never Have I Ever…read a later book in a series before reading the first book
Yes, I’ve done this, especially in the romance genre. I’ve read books that are part of a series but can be read as a standalone. Usually, there are characters or references to earlier books, but it is still easy to follow the story.
Never Have I Ever…burned a book
Like physically burned a book? What is this, Fahrenheit 451? lol No, I haven’t.

Never Have I Ever…read a book I knew I would hate
I have read many books that I knew I would hate. I taught English in a public high school. lol One of the first books I had to teach was The Red Badge of Courage, which is not something I would typically read, and I knew I wasn’t going to enjoy it before I even opened it. Others include Candide and The Grapes of Wrath.
Never Have I Ever…wrote a fanfiction about my favorite books
I haven’t! I’ve thought about how I would like certain characters stories to continue, but I’ve never written fanfiction.
Never Have I Ever…loved a book when I was young, yet hated it when I got older

Definitely. As a young teen, I loved V.C. Andrews’ Flowers in the Attic. I read it when I was an adult and just found it disturbing. Didn’t enjoy it at all!
Never Have I Ever…dressed up as one of my favorite literary characters
I have. I have three kids and a husband who love Halloween, so we all dress up every year. One year, I dressed as Hermione Granger. Another year, I was Princess Leia. However, my favorite costume is not book related. Two years ago, my husband dressed up as Bob Ross, and I was a happy little tree. Best couple costume ever!!!
Never Have I Ever…hated a book by an author I love
Hmm. I can’t say that I do.
Never Have I Ever…gone into a bookstore to buy one book and come out with many more
I do this almost every time I go to a bookstore. lol

Never Have I Ever…read the ending of a book before reading the beginning
I have done this! When my mother became ill, we were reading the same series, but we knew she didn’t have enough time or energy to finish it. So, I read the ending and told her about it. I love the anticipation of not knowing and generally wouldn’t do this, but I love my mom more.
Never Have I Ever…read a book without the dust cover
I have. I often take the dust cover off so I don’t ruin it.
Never Have I Ever…skim read nearly half a book
Hahaha, I definitely have!

Thanks again, Millay! This was as fun as I though it would be! I’m not going to tag anyone, but if you think it sounds like fun, I would love to read your answers! Hope you have a great weekend! 🙂

Yes!!! That’s fabulous!! 🙂 🙂
Walking out the bookstore with more books than planned is such a mood. HAHAHA. I mean, I don’t even plan on buying anything but I always end up with two or more books. 🙂 I loved your answers.
Me too! And then they put the bookmarks and other bookish merch near the register, and i end up buying them too. lol
Burn a book?!? Why??? LOL! I’ve done most of the others, though! Fun tag!
Right! It hurts my heart to even think about it! lol
