The Cover for House of Flame and Shadow is Here and It Is GORGEOUS!

Happy Thursday, friends! Yesterday, I was scrolling through Facebook when the cover for House of Flame and Shadow started blowing up my feed, and I’ve been staring at it ever since. IT. IS. GORGEOUS!! Check it out:

Isn’t it STUNNING! I can’t stop staring at it!!

Like the other two book covers in the series, there’s a lot going on, and there are a ton of little images and symbols that I’m sure hint at things that will happen in the book. There’s been a ton of speculation, and I don’t know I can wait until January to get my hands on this one. Here’s what we know about the book so far:

Title: House of Flame and Shadow

Author: Sarah J. Mass

Series: Crescent City #3

Page Length: 816

Publication Date: Jan. 30, 2024

Publisher: Bloomsbury Pub

Synopsis: The stunning third book in the sexy, action-packed Crescent City series, following the global bestsellers House of Earth and Blood and House of Sky and Breath.

Bryce Quinlan never expected to see a world other than Midgard, but now that she has, all she wants is to get back. Everything she loves is in Midgard: her family, her friends, her mate. Stranded in a strange new world, she’s going to need all her wits about her to get home again. And that’s no easy feat when she has no idea who to trust.

Hunt Athalar has found himself in some deep holes in his life, but this one might be the deepest of all. After a few brief months with everything he ever wanted, he’s in the Asteri’s dungeons again, stripped of his freedom and without a clue as to Bryce’s fate. He’s desperate to help her, but until he can escape the Asteri’s leash, his hands are quite literally tied.

In this sexy, breathtaking sequel to the #1 bestsellers House of Earth and Blood and House of Sky and Breath, Sarah J. Maas’s Crescent City series reaches new heights as Bryce and Hunt’s world is brought to the brink of collapse-with its future resting on their shoulders.

And, there are a bunch of different bonus scenes. I already pre-ordered a copy from Barnes and Noble, but I kind of want Walmart and Target too. Is there such a thing as having too many copies?

LET”S CHAT! Are you excited for this one? What do you think of the cover? Do you notice anything, or does anything stand out to you? And which edition would you preorder? Comment below!

  1. It is gorgeous! And I’m going to have to buy it because I have the other two in the series even though I have yet to find time to read them. Some day!
