Book Haul: October 2024

Hello and happy Saturday! I hope you had a good week. I had an eventful one with Halloween and a major find in my basement. I was going through an old box of books that I got years ago when the school I taught at closed. The library was giving away books, so I took a bunch and forgot about them. Well, I was looking through them to see if there was anything good for my Little Free Library, and I came across a copy of Throne of Glass. I took the library plastic covering off and realized that it was a first edition book with the Barbie cover!!! What a find! And it was sitting in my basement for years! lol

Anyway, today, I have my October book haul for you, and I’m super excited to share it. It received some fantastic reads from friends, publishers, authors, and a few birthday purchases. And if you want to learn more about any of the books, click on them, and it’ll take you to Goodreads.

Book Mail:

My birthday was in October, and my wonderful friend Leslie @ Books Are the New Black sent me 3 books on my wish list – Butcher & Blackbird, Leather & Lark, and Poison in Their Hearts. She’s the best, and she knows my reading taste so well. Then, I got Prince of Fortune from Simon Kids, and all of the other books from Wattpad Webtoon Books.

eBooks:

I got 11 books from either NetGalley, publishers, and authors Emily Windsor & Sarah M. Cradit. Thanks to all!! Of the 11 I received, I’ve already read 6! My favorite was A Governess Should Never… Wager a Duke. And I still have to read The Bones Beneath My Skin, Den of Liars, Carving Shadows into Gold, Servant of Earth, and With This Ring.

So, my birthday was in the middle of the month, and I splurged on books. lol Most of these, I got on Book Outlet, but I was at my library, and they were selling books for a dollar, and I got Curious Tides, and Spectacular was a preorder!
