Dream Girl Drama is the third book in Tessa Bailey’s Big Shots series, and it follows Sig, a charming hockey player, and Chloe, a quirky harp prodigy. Shortly after a chemistry-filled meet cute, Sig and Chloe discover they’re about to become step-siblings. I was so curious about their back story, especially after meeting the two in The Au-Pair Affair, and the start of their story is full of charm and chemistry.
Sig is great! He’s the kind of guy who falls first and hard, which I’m a total sucker for. Sig makes it his mission to take care of everyone around him, and I love his big heart and protectiveness. That being said, his protective and selfless nature often led to him coddling Chloe and solving all of her problems instead of letting her figure things out, which I found frustrating at times. And I liked Chloe, but I didn’t love her. She was almost too naïve and helpless, and I wanted a little more growth from her and for her to take charge of her life.
Bailey never fails to create insanely swoon-worthy and sexy romances, and this book is no exception with the insta-lust that leads to a deep love. The chemistry between Sig and Chloe is off the charts from their very first meeting, and you might need a fan for the spicy scenes because OH. MY. WORD!!! I also liked the moments of humor and heart sprinkled throughout.
Though this wasn’t my favorite in the series, it’s still a fun, entertaining, and sexy story and one I’d recommend to contemporary romance readers. Special thanks to NetGalley and Avon for providing me with a copy of the book. All thoughts are my own.
