A contemporary romance with a paranormal twist, Timeless is the second book in the Heart’s True Desire series. The story follows Erin, a woman who has sworn off romance and love after learning about her father’s infidelity. Her feelings start to change when she meets her grandmother’s new and handsome landlord.
William is drawn to Emily as soon as he meets her, and the chemistry between them is fantastic. There’s a spark between them almost immediately, but William has secrets, and he doesn’t open up easily. Over 100 with a tragic love story in his own past, William struggles with his demons, and I felt for him. He has a terrible amount of guilt, and he hasn’t forgiven himself. It’s lovely to see Emily and William grow closer and face some of their conflicted feelings about life and love.
One of my favorite characters is Emily’s grandmother. She’s great, and she’s a wonderful support to Emily. They have a lovely relationship. The story also continues with the paranormal elements involving a mystical amulet, and it’s interesting to see how the amulets tie the stories in the series together.
Overall, this was a fun and charming read and a good palate cleanser for me after reading a complicated and dark fantasy. Special thanks to Kathryn Amurra for sending me a copy of the book. All thoughts are my own.

Kathryn Amurra has been making up stories for as long as she can remember and writing since grade school. She found her own hero just after graduating college and married him, and they have three girls together. Although her characters live inside her head all day, she writes at night, when she has logged off from her “day job” and her kids are asleep
