I really liked Breaking Her Enforcer. I’ve read many of Amber Daulton’s books, and I always know I’m going to get an intense story, strong characters, and a fabulous romance, and this one was no exception. I was immediately interested in Ángel and Marisol. They had great chemistry, and I really enjoyed their back-and-forth as Marisol tried to figure out what to make of her feelings for a man she knew she shouldn’t get involved with.
Marisol’s connection to her brother puts her in a dangerous position, and Ángel is determined to protect her, even when it means putting himself at risk. There’s a lot happening with the cartel, her brother, and the threats surrounding them, and the story was intriguing and intense. I loved how Ángel and Marisol handled everything together and how the danger around them affected and often strengthened their relationship.
As always with this author, the characters were well-developed and layered. Ángel is intense and fiercely protective, while Marisol has a strength of her own and doesn’t just sit back and let other people make decisions for her. I liked them individually and even more together, and their chemistry was so good! Between the interesting plot, the suspense, and the romance, it was a fast and entertaining addition to the series!
