Synopsis:
Nothing can rain on Quincy Monroe’s parade. She’s a woman-in-STEM with a PhD in atmospheric sciences, the host of a successful online weather show, and has one million followers on her meteorology Instagram.
Quincy has spent endless hours forging her path in this male-dominated field, becoming one of the best in the industry. And with a new job opportunity, nothing can derail her success. Except for the ill-timed arrival of Sebastian Dunn.
Sebastian is her best friend’s brother, her long-suffering academic and professional rival, and a flashy TV weatherman from New York City that everyone swoons over. Everyone but Quincy.
Over a scorching Florida summer and record-breaking hurricane season, Sebastian and Quincy are forced into close proximity. Setting aside their grudges to chase storms and stay alive is one thing, but can they weather the inevitable collision of their hearts?

In Stormy Weather is such a fantastic read and my favorite contemporary romance of the year! I loved the characters and romance, and the exciting and suspenseful Twister vibes. Twister is one of my favorite disaster movies, and this story took everything I loved about the film and added a spicy, banter-filled rivals-to-lovers, best friend’s brother romance that I won’t soon forget.
Quincy and Sebastian both have compelling stories, and I was invested in them from the start. The story switches between their perspectives, which is great because you really get to understand both characters. Each has a distinct voice and story, and getting both of their thoughts about each other and their changing relationship added a lot of depth to both characters.
The romance is super swoon-worthy and definitely my favorite part of the story. My word, Quincy and Sebastian have so much chemistry it practically sizzles off the page, and their banter is off the charts. I love his nickname for her, the way he teases her, and just how amazing they are together. I would totally watch their weather podcast! lol Sebastian is so in love with Quincy, and there are some charming small gestures and big overt ones that had my heart melting.
I also love the friendships and found family vibes. Quincy’s best friends and Sebastian’s make this wonderful group, and you can tell they’ve been friends for years. There’s a comfort with all of them that has a found family feel to it, and the easy way they are with each other speaks to their long-lasting friendships. I love the way they tease and have fun with each other, but are also there for each other in the tough times too. And it feels like there could be a couple of other potential love stories brewing, which I’m totally here for!

- rivals to lovers
- best friend’s brother
- forced proximity
- he falls first

“If someone asked me to describe you, I’d call you an endless sunset.” He gestures at the open field and up to the sky. “Beauty in its most perfect form.”
“It will take God himself to separate me from you.” Sebastian’s forehead presses against mine. His breath dances across my face. I’m calm. Momentarily safe. “And even then, I would go down with a fight.”
I put my hand on his chest and feel his heart beat in tune with mine. The stars and the moon and the tides and the sun. And us.

Chelsea is a flight attendant and romance author who writes fun, fresh and flirty love stories with plenty of spice. When she’s not making fictional characters banter for twenty chapters before they finally kiss or serving chicken or pasta on an airplane, you can find her trying to pet as many dogs as she can.
