Synopsis: They took everything. Now he’s come back to claim it—and her—in this broodingly intense and sexy Highlander romance that will delight fans of Karen Marie Moning and Lynsay Sands.
When she was just a lass, Peigi Grant attended a wedding—one that quickly turned into a night of bloodshed and grief. Through it all, there were whispers of the Comyn heir, a boy accused of the crime, who mysteriously disappeared.
Now it’s fourteen years later, and Peigi’s never breathed a word to a soul about that fateful night…or her role in helping the boy escape. But she never would have dared imagine that sweet boy turning into a roguish warrior who could shatter her heart and her reputation.
Alexander is drawn to Peigi by her clear, sweet voice. Her loveliness—along with an uncanny sensation of fate—tempts him to lay down his war scythe forever. But his clan, his lands, and his very birthright were stolen by the Grant clan…and vengeance still calls to him.
They don’t know his true name. But the Grants will come to fear his wrath…even if it destroys the one person who could tame his wild, Highlander heart.

Outlaw Ever After was such a fantastic conclusion to this trilogy! Filled with vengeance, secrets, and a swoon-worthy romance, the story follows Peigi Grant, who once helped a boy accused of a terrible crime escape his fate. She never imagined she’d see him again. However, fate had other plans, and fourteen years later, he returns as Alexander, a man determined to reclaim what was stolen from him.
I absolutely loved the characters, especially Peigi and Alex. Peigi is sweet and strong with a gift for music that captivates others, especially Alex. And Alex is the perfect Highland hero. Fierce and relentless in his need for justice and to right the wrongs of the past, he is also quite vulnerable when it comes to those he loves. The layers to both of them made their story so much more emotional and I couldn’t stop rooting for them.
The secondary characters are fabulous too, and it was great to see some of the characters from the first two books. I also like how Alex reconnected with people from his past who were part of Peigi’s present. It had a full circle feel to it, which just added to the emotional elements of his story.
The romance, no shock, was my favorite part of the story. The longing, the tension, the chemistry, the way Alex was pulled in by Peigi’s voice and couldn’t stay away – I loved it all. I actually think Peigi and Alex are my favorite couple in the series.
And the epilogue is perfect. It tied everything together so beautifully and brought back all the main characters from the trilogy in such a heart-warming way.
All in all, it was an engrossing read, and I liked the characters, the love story, and how the past and present wove together to heighten the secrecy, suspense, and romance. Special thanks to NetGalley and Entangled Publishing for providing me with a copy of the book. All thoughts are my own.

“What good is remembering when the past can nay be undone?” she breathed. “Who says our song is already complete and nay just beginning?” he countered—
“coincidences are what we call fate when we nay understand what it’s trying to tell us.”
“My pride swells too grand to ever hear the truth when it’s easier to believe lies…”
“I nay want to cause ye pain or loss. I just-just want to give ye the world and live in it with ye.”
