Loving the Lines is dedicated to books and series with stand-out quotes that need to be shared. I’m often moved by passages and lines from the books I read, and I thought this would be a great way to show the love!! Many thanks to all the wonderful writers who inspire, empower, entertain, and make people think.
As you’ve probably noticed by now, I’m pretty obsessed with the Six of Crows duology. I can’t get enough of the characters and the world, and I loved the Netflix series!! Have you seen it yet?
I won’t admit how many times I’ve watched this. lol I just love the casting, and I need to see more!!! I can’t wait for season two and am excited to see
Bardugo’s work actually inspired five posts on my blog, as well as today’s post:

Double-crossed and badly weakened, the crew is low on resources, allies, and hope. As powerful forces from around the world descend on Ketterdam to root out the secrets of the dangerous drug known as jurda parem, old rivals and new enemies emerge to challenge Kaz’s cunning and test the team’s fragile loyalties.
A war will be waged on the city’s dark and twisting streets – a battle for revenge and redemption that will decide the fate of the Grisha world.
Let’s Check Out My Favorite Words of Wisdom from Crooked Kingdom:
Never underestimate the public’s desire to get something for nothing.
Fear is a phoenix. You can watch it burn a thousand times and still it will return.
You are like food that spoils too easily. I can’t even put you on a shelf somewhere to keep without making a stink.

No matter the height of the mountain, the climbing is the same.
We can endure all kinds of pain. It’s shame that eats men whole.
And that was what destroyed you in the end: the longing for something you could never have.
No mourners. No funerals.

When the world owed you nothing, you demanded something of it anyway.
Suffering is like anything else. Live with it long enough, you learn to like the taste.
Better terrible truths than kind lies.

Aren’t these fantastic? Leigh Bardugo writes such powerful and insightful lines! Which one is your favorite? Comment below!
I am soooo excited for the show! There is some controversy going on right now with Zoya’s character…I’m just sitting here hoping it isn’t true 🙁
Oh no! I haven’t heard the controversy!! Is it from the show or the books?
The show! Apparently Zoya might make racist comments towards Alina (bc she’s half Shu on the show) which I’m not a huge fan of…
Ughhh, I wonder why they’d do that.
You’re remembering me of why I love Leigh Bardugo so much lol!
I love that!! lol
