Happy Thursday! This week, I was nominated for the Sunshine Blogger Award by Mani over at Mani’s Book Corner. If you haven’t been over to Mani’s blog, you should totally check it out. Mani always has great posts and book recommendations! Thanks, Mani for the nomination!
WHAT IS THE SUNSHINE BLOGGER AWARD?
The Sunshine Blogger Award is given to those who are creative, positive and inspiring while spreading sunshine to the blogging community.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
- Thank the blogger(s) who nominated you in a blog post and link back to their blog.
- Answer the 11 questions sent by the person who nominated you.
- Nominate 11 new blogs to receive the award and write them 11 new questions.
- List the rules and display the Sunshine Blogger Award logo in your post and/or on your blog.
Mani’s Questions:
1. What’s the biggest book you have read?
Probably Les Miserables. It’s over a thousand pages. The Mists of Avalon is another long one at over a thousand pages.

2. What was your favorite book when you were a kid?
As a young kid, I loved the Little House series, but when I got a little bit older, I loved the Sweet Valley High series.

3. What’s the last film/TV show you watched?
Shadow and Bone. I binged it the day it released, and then I watched the whole thing again last week. Loved it!!

4. Would you accept a job as a librarian in an haunted library?
My initial response is No!! NO WAY! I am not brave enough to do that, but if we’re talking Casper the Friendly Ghost haunting the library, then I would.
5. What would be the title of the book based on your life?
A Life of Books and Shenanigans
6. If they make a movie based on your life, who would you cast as actor/actress for your role?
Melissa McCarthy. She is so fun and funny, and I love her.

7. Who is your absolute favorite writer?
Ahhhhh! This is too hard!! Sarah J. Maas. No, Nora Roberts. No, Amanda Hocking. Maybe Anela Deen? I don’t know! There are too many amazing author’s to choose from!
8. Are you keeping up with your 2021 New Year’s Resolutions? (it doesn’t have to be reading goals)
I don’t generally make resolutions since I never meet them. However, every year I do make a Goodreads goal, and I’m well on the way to meeting that!
9. Is there a book you keep saying “One day I will read it” but you never do?
A Discovery of Witches by Deborah Harkness. It sounds so good and definitely like something I would enjoy. I even bought a copy of the book. It’s currently sitting on my bookshelf taunting me.

10. Can you name an underrated book you read and loved?
Poison and Honey. I loved this trilogy, especially the swoon-tastic romance! It has high ratings but less than 50 reviews on Goodreads. I highly recommend this one for readers who like fantasy-romance.

11. What’s one movie you want to be novelized?
I have absolutely no idea. However here are some novels that I think should be turned into movies:

My nominations:
- Chelsea @ Your Bookish Friend
- Ali @ Ali’s Books
- Joanna @ The Geekish Brunette
- Alexa @ Writing the Universe
- Leslie @ Books are the New Black
- Becky @ Becky’s Book Blog

- Leah @ Big, Bad, and Bookish
- Cherry @ Letters to the Lost
- Sarah @ Bookish Rantings
- Kaya @ A Fictional Bookworm
Questions:
1. What’s your most anticipated read for the rest of 2021?
2. What was your favorite book when you were a kid?
3. If you could turn any book or series into a movie/film, which would you choose?
4. Have you ever written or considered writing a book?
5. What would be the title of the book based on your life?
6. If they make a movie based on your life, who would you cast as actor/actress for your role?
7. What is your favorite read of 2021?
8. What are you currently reading?
9. Is there a book you keep saying “One day I will read it” but you never do?
10. Can you name an underrated book you read and loved?
11. What’s one book you wish you could reread for the first time?

Congratulations!
Side note: I think Throne of Glass anything would fare better as a TV series rather than a movie.
