Loving the Lines is a post dedicated to books with stand-out quotes that need to be shared. I’m often moved by passages and lines from the books I read, and I thought this would be a great way to show the love!! Many thanks to all the wonderful writers who inspire, empower, entertain, and make people think. Today, that book and author is:
The Bridge Kingdom by Danielle L. Jensen
Isn’t that trailer great? It makes me want to reread the whole series! I’m a huge fan of all of Jensen’s romantasy series and have actually done another Loving the Lines for Gilded Serpent, the third book in the Dark Shores series. If you haven’t read that series, you should totally check it out! Books 1 and 2, Dark Shores and Dark Skies, can be read in either order, and Gilded Serpent follows the first two books. It’s a brilliant read!
And I was so excited to hear that The Endless War, the fourth book in the series, is releasing on Audible later this month! I can’t wait! And Audible Originals has bought the rights to Bridge Kingdom 5 & 6! The novels will follow Aren’s twin sister, Princess Ahnna Kertell, as she leaves Ithicana to marry the crown prince of Harendell.
While I’m eagerly awaiting The Endless War, I thought I’d spotlight some of my favorite lines from each book in the series. Today, it’s The Bridge Kingdom!
About the Book:

Series: The Bridge Kingdom #1
Page Length: 356
Publication Date: Oct. 16, 2018
Synopsis: A warrior princess trained in isolation, Lara is driven by two certainties. The first is that King Aren of the Bridge Kingdom is her enemy. And the second is that she’ll be the one to bring him to his knees.
The only route through a storm-ravaged world, the Bridge Kingdom enriches itself and deprives its rivals, including Lara’s homeland. So when she’s sent as a bride under the guise of peace, Lara is prepared to do whatever it takes to fracture its impenetrable defenses. And the defenses of its king.
Yet as she infiltrates her new home and gains a deeper understanding of the war to possess the bridge, Lara begins to question whether she’s the hero or the villain. And as her feelings for Aren transform from frosty hostility to fierce passion, Lara must choose which kingdom she’ll save… and which kingdom she’ll destroy.
