Synopsis:

When Chase Stone’s estranged father dies, leaving his multibillion-dollar business to his children, no one is more surprised than him. Growing up outside of the high-stakes world filled with human vultures, Chase and his sister, Alex, are less than enthusiastic about stepping into their father’s shoes. That is until they learn of a half brother they didn’t know existed, and must find to share their inheritance with.

Piper Maddox was the elder Mr. Stone’s übercapable assistant—abruptly fired two weeks before his death. She knows everything about Stone Enterprises and the man who built it. But Piper has no desire to work for another member of the Stone family. Even one as down to earth as Chase.

Desperately needing financial security, Piper agrees to return so long as kissing up to Chase and accepting unwanted advances were not part of her job description. A task that becomes a serious hurdle for both of them. Piper and Chase scramble to find the third Stone sibling before the media does, sharing secrets along the way. Secrets that can bring them together or tear them irrevocably apart.

All Our Tomorrows is the first book in Catherine Bybee’s new contemporary romance series The Heirs. It’s about Alex and Chase, whose absentee father dies suddenly and leaves them a massive inheritance with a stipulation that forces them to revisit the past before they can move forward. This is Chase’s story as he takes over the business and rehires Piper, his dad’s assistant. As he and Piper work together on his newly inherited billion-dollar enterprise, they also must find a sibling Chase never knew about.

Chase is an absolute dream. Smart, charming, and a good man, he is a perfect match for Piper. She’s amazing, too – intelligent and strong. They complement each other well, and their chemistry is off the charts. I love how their workplace romance grows and how Piper slowly learns she can depend on Chase. Chase’s relationship with his sister is also fantastic. It made me wish I had a sibling relationship as strong, supportive, and loyal as the one they share.

Bybee writes such entertaining stories with the perfect balance of intrigue, drama, and romance. And though the story examines heavier subjects like single parenting, unexpected pregnancies, and broken relationships, it’s balanced well with lighter scenes, positive relationships, and a swoon-worthy love story.

I always love Bybee’s books. The writing is fantastic – immersive, layered, and well-paced, the characters are dynamic and compelling, and the romances are always amazing. I was so rooting for Chase and Piper, and I can’t wait for Alex’s story! I was also intrigued by the mysteries in the story that involved the unknown sibling and someone trying to upend their leadership roles in the company. Chase and Alex, and by extension, Piper, face a lot of obstacles, and I’m excited to see how some of the overarching aspects of the plot will play out.

Thanks to Catherine Bybee for providing me with an advanced copy of the book. All thoughts are my own.

  1. I don’t know why every time I see this cover I don’t think it’s romance. I think it’s like a thriller or women’s fiction or something 😅 But this does sound great and like something I would enjoy. Great review!
