MY THOUGHTS ON ECLIPSE:

This is the sixth book in the Blood Moon, Texas Shifters series, and it’s a suspenseful and engrossing addition to the series! I was eager to find out what was going to happen after some revelations in the last book, especially in relation to one specific character who I thought was one of the good ones. This story follows August and Rowan, ex-lovers, as they work together to figure out who is terrorizing the supernatural world.

August and Rowan have so much chemistry, and I was totally invested in their second-chance romance. The pair bonded during a particularly dangerous mission, and though they are still bonded, Rowan doesn’t know it. It’s a secret August is prepared to keep, but it becomes increasingly difficult the closer they get. I love how supportive Rowan is. She’s a strong and caring person who never really gives up on August even after everything that’s happened between them. And August is so sweet and protective – definite cinnamon roll material! His autoimmune disease and failing health add another layer to their story, and some of what he and they go through is gut-wrenching. Both are such compelling characters with heartbreaking pasts and traumatic presents, and both deserve some happiness in their future.

One of my favorite things about this whole series is the amazing strength of the Caldwell family. They are all amazing individuals, but together they are a force. Staunchly supportive and protective of each other, there’s a lot of love in this family. The way they welcome people into their fold is lovely, and I feel like we really see this aspect of them in the book. We learn quite a bit more about Rowan’s family, too, especially her brothers and mother. I found them all intriguing, and I really want to learn more about her brothers. I feel like they both have interesting stories to tell.

I would definitely recommend this book to readers who like paranormal romantic suspense. The story is suspenseful and filled with intrigue, dangerous missions, and social and political turmoil, and the characters and romance are fantastic. It’s one of my faves in the entire series! Special thanks to Kat Kinney for providing me with a copy of the book. All thoughts are my own.

MY THOUGHTS ON VOKLANE:

Voklane is the eighth and final book in the Gen-Heirs: The Guardians of Sziveria series, and it’s Delanee and Ryan’s story. Yay! I love Dalanee and her amazing family, and having so many of them in Voklane was a special treat. If you’ve read the Bella and the Beast-Master series, Delanee is one of their children, and they, their kids, and more are in this book. Oh, and so is Delanee’s matchmaking grandmother. Love her! It was amazing to see this special family together.

It was great to finally learn more about Ryan. He’s a secretive guy who keeps his personal life and his professional separate, but the lines begin to blur when he offers Delanee, an inquisitive journalist, protection and brings her to his home. His backstory and unusual ability are so intriguing! At Ryan’s home, Delanee meets his adorable daughter and the other women in his life. They’re all such dynamic characters, and they definitely have the found family vibes going on. Many of the main characters from the previous books also band together for Ryan and Delanee, and they have found family vibes, too. I really enjoyed this aspect of the story and that Ryan was at the center of this amazing group of people.

The slow-building, opposites-attract romance, of course, is my favorite part of the story. lol I love a swoon-worthy romance, and Ryan and Delanee did not disappoint. They have amazing chemistry, and I enjoyed the push and pull between them. There’s a lot of suspense and intrigue, too, and the resolution to the overarching plot has a few surprising twists that I definitely didn’t expect.

I’m so sad this series is over! It’s been a wild ride filled with action, adventure, epic world-building, and remarkable characters. And every single romance is wonderful! The only reason my heart’s not completely broken is because there are spin-offs, so we get to stay in this amazing world a little longer! Special thanks to Sarah Westill for sending me a copy of the book. All thoughts are my own.
