IT HAD TO BE YOU
Ali Winters is not having a good day. Everyone in town thinks she’s a thief, and now she’s about to be kicked out of her home. Her only shot at keeping a roof over her head and clearing her name is to beg for help from a police detective who’s as sexy as he is stern. As Luke Hanover helps Ali put her world back together, the pieces of his own life finally seem to fall into place. Is this the start of a sizzling fling? Or are Luke and Ali on the brink of something big?

ALWAYS ON MY MIND
After messing up her big break on a reality cooking show, Leah Sullivan returns home to Lucky Harbor and the comfort of her best friend, Jack Harper. In an effort to cheer up Jack’s ailing mother, Leah tells a little fib—that she and Jack are more than just friends. Soon, pretending to be hot-and-heavy with this hunky firefighter is more than Leah bargained for, and Jack is longing to turn their fake relationship into something permanent. But do they dare risk falling in love for real?

My Review:

A Little Bit of Luck includes two books from the Lucky Harbor series. This is such a great series! The town has that small and charming feel, the characters and stories are always entertaining, and the romances are fantastic.

It Had To Be You is about Ali and Luke. I love these two! Ali is going through a tough time. Her boyfriend cheated on her, she has nowhere to live, and she’s been accused of stealing a substantial amount of money. Luke is having a rough go of it too. A police detective, he is taking some time off after a particularly difficult case. Life hasn’t been overly kind to Ali or Luke, which makes them finding each other even more special.

The story also has a great cast of secondary characters that are as charming as the town they live in. But the star of this story is the swoon-worthy romance between Ali and Luke. Ali and Luke have an opposites-attract kind of romance, and it’s filled with angst and sexual tension. Their chemistry is off the charts!

Jack and Leah in Always on My Mind have great chemistry too. Long-time friends, the pair have known each other since childhood, and they have a history. I’m always a fan of friends-to-lovers romances, and Leah and Jack are no exception. There’s a great push and pull between them, and there’s always a ton of sparks flying when they’re together. There’s always something wonderful about a romance between two people who know each other so well. Of course, with their history and the problems in their present, like the fact that they are fake dating (love, love, love!), they have a lot to work through. But the journey is so worth it.

I haven’t read all of the books in the Lucky Harbor series, but it didn’t matter. I think each can be read as a standalone even though they include characters from other books in the series. That being said, I’d like to go back and read the few I missed.

Thanks so much to Forever Publishing for sending me a copy of the book. All thoughts are my own.
