He’s the only witness to the most heartbreaking moment of my life. No way am I giving him a second chance.I played some part in the demise of our relationship, but mostly it was all on him. At least the way I see it. But I didn’t need him. Still don’t.

Anyway, the spark of first love has been out too long to rekindle.

No matter what people say. Time doesn’t heal all wounds.

He wants to forgive and forget and see if we can make it work now that we’re older and wiser. I want to dig a hole for him to crawl into.

It’s up to me to decide. I can forgive or spend my golden years lonely and hating him. It’s a tough choice.

The Stargazer Springs series is a lovely and sweet contemporary romance series, and Loving Tandy is a great addition to it!

I was really interested in Tandy’s story. She’s been such a fantastic secondary character in the series, and I’ve been curious about her past relationships and what happened between her and Matthew. Tandy and Matthew are high school sweethearts who went through a difficult breakup. Tandy moved away and became a popular writer, and Matthew eventually moved on, married, and had a family. Years later, when they see each other again, Matthew, a widower, tries to reconnect, but Tandy wants nothing to do with him. But Matthew is a patient man, and he’s willing to wait until she’s ready.

Tandy is so sassy and fun, and it’s great to see this matchmaker be the center of the love story for once. She and Matthew have a sweet second-chance romance, and I love how they find their way back to each other. Each has lived a full and rich life and mourns those they’ve lost, but their love for each other is still there, even with their complicated past. They have great banter (Matthew is such a tease and so full of mischief), and their chemistry is wonderful. They’re also both really stubborn, which is good because though Tandy stubbornly refuses to let Matthew back into her life, Matthew is too stubborn to give up on her.

I don’t often read love stories between two mature characters, and this has been a refreshing and fun change. I always love going back to the Stargazer Springs ranch. It’s a beautiful setting with a fantastic found family, and it sounds like an idyllic place to live and love.

I would definitely recommend the book and series to readers who enjoy clean contemporary romances, and I’m thankful to the author for sending me a copy of the book.
